How to Make It:

  1. Cut many 2-foot-long pieces of crepe paper. The more you cut, the fuller your pompom will be.

  2. Using a long piece of yarn, tie the pieces of crepe paper together at the centers. Do not cut off the excess yarn. Fold the crepe paper in half so that the yarn dangles at one end.

  3. Punch two holes, opposite each other, in one end of a paper-towel tube. At the same end, push the tied section of the crepe paper into the tube. Push the excess yarn ends out the holes. Wrap the yarn around the tube, and tie the ends in a knot.

  4. Decorate the tube with paints, markers, or cut paper.
